Dr. Mohamed Salah Elsobki Jr. holds a B.Sc. (1977) and M.Sc. (1980) Cairo University, Egypt. He earned his doctorate (1985) from McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada. Since 2004, he has been a Professor of Energy Planning at Cairo University. Previously (Nov 2014-Dec2016), he was Executive Chairman for the Egyptian New and Renewable Energy Authority (NREA), as well as Director of the Energy Research Center (2010-2014).
